Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is proud to present a Caravan Park in Clare Glen on the banks of the river Cusher. This purpose built site is suitable for caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents. Clare Glen Caravan Park is a short-term recreational/leisure/tourism stays only & we do not accept Tent bookings. We trust that our customers will treat this venue with the respect that it deserves.

Clare Glen Caravan Park is an unmanned park and reservations are handled by Tandragee Recreation Centre, located approximately 1 mile from  the park. Booking confirmation must be available for inspection at all times during your stay at Clare Glen Caravan Park. 

As this is an unmanned site please ensure you have received the gate access code before arrival, this should arrive via email, but if not received, please contact Tandragee Recreation Centre. Please be aware the centre is closes at 5pm on Saturdays, and is closed all day on Sundays as well as Bank/Public Holidays. 

Covid-19 – There might be restrictions in place in/around the facilities we ask that you will please follow all social distancing measures in place during your stay.

Due to the gradient of the entrance / exit road, children using bikes/tricycles on the site must be supervised at all times.
Arriving at the Park

Your arrival is welcome between 2.00pm and 8.00pm: only in exceptional circumstances and by prior agreement, will arrivals outside of these times be accommodated. If you have not occupied the pitch by 8.00pm on the due day of arrival and have not notified staff, then we reserve the right to re-let the pitch with your payment forfeited. Full payment must be received before access is permitted to your pitch.

Leaving at the end of your stay

All pitches must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure. Late departures may be possible, but only by contacting Reception on the day prior to your departure. Refunds will not be granted for early departures.

Awnings and other structures

Awnings are permitted on designated pitches. No tent, annex, lean-to or gazebo may be erected unless it forms part of the original design of the touring caravan and can be readily dismantled for transportation. Breathable ground sheets must be used and raised during the day to minimise wear on the pitches. Awnings cannot be used as sleeping quarters.

Length of stay

We are a short stay caravan park and therefore caravans and motorhomes are permitted to stay for a maximum of 5 nights. Individuals will only be allowed to book back into the facility 7 clear days after their previous stay.

Closing time

Although this is an unmanned campsite, we ask that no vehicle engines are running between 11:00pm and 6.00am.

Cancellations and refunds

We do not issue refunds for cancellations. A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required in advance of the arrival date to amend the booking or to change to other dates within the season. Any change to your booking within 7 days of your arrival will incur a £10.00 admin fee. If you cancel your booking with less than 72hrs notice, you will forgo your booking and will not be entitled to carry it over for a later date.

Pets on the Park

A maximum of two well behaved dogs are permitted per pitch: any dog must be kept under control and on a short lead at all times within the perimeters of the of their pitch. Park staff are authorised to require any owner to have their pet removed from the Park if it is a nuisance. Pets are not permitted in any Council building (assistance dogs excepted), and are not to be left unattended at any time. Dog faeces must be removed and placed in the appropriate bins. 

Noise and consideration for others

Musical instruments, radios and music emitting equipment must not be used so as to cause annoyance to other Park users and must not be used outdoors between 11.00pm – 8.00am. Socialising and conversations must be moved inside your accommodation before 11:00pm. Generators are not permitted.

Refuse and recycling

All waste and refuse must be deposited in the refuse collection areas. Recycling facilities are available at Tandragee Recycling Centre. Adherence to recycling is greatly appreciated.

Fires and barbeques

You should make yourself familiar with the Fire Assembly Points and the fire-fighting equipment throughout the Park. No open fires, fire pits or chimineas are permitted within the Park. Only self-contained gas or charcoal barbeques are permitted.

Any persons using the communal barbecue area must ensure that all belongings are cleaned away after use and their waste disposed of in an appropriate manner. Use of this area is to be shared evenly amongst fellow campers and we ask everyone to respect this and show discretion when making use of this facility.

Disposable barbecues are NOT to be placed on the picnic benches provided within the communal patio area.Users must ensure that waste charcoal is extinguished before being disposed of in the bins. 

Breakages and damages

The breakage of any equipment, fixture or fitting within the site must immediately be reported to staff. Associated costs of repair or replacement will be recoverable from the person responsible.

Motorised toys

Motorised recreational items (including drones) and any combination of children’s transport systems including scooters, hover-boards/carts, go-carts, buggies, quads etc. are not permitted to be used within the perimeters of the site.

Prices and payments

All prices are inclusive of VAT and are subject to change without prior notice. Payment must be made in full before access is granted to any pitch.


Only 1 vehicle permitted per pitch, and no Commercial vehicles are permitted on site, we cannot accommodate those wishing to use for residential or employment purposes. Trading is not permitted from the site.

Laundry facilities

Laundry facilities are available on site. The washing machine and tumble dryer are only suitable for light clothes. It is NOT permitted to wash and dry rugs, blankets etc. as they are not commercial machines.


Should anyone breach these rules and regulations they will be asked to leave the site within two hours without recompense or a refund. The Council also reserves the right to prohibit individuals from future use of their sites. In addition, if Council staff observe activities which are detrimental to the Park or to the safety of other Park visitors including defacing or causing damage to any building, equipment or property, then the Council reserves the right to immediately evoke eviction and prosecution and remove any vehicle or caravan illegally present after a request has been made to leave. The person who hired the pitch is responsible for the conduct of their party and will be held liable for the payment of any damages, breaks and loss caused by themselves and/or their visitors either to Council property or other campers’ property. Customers’ vehicles, contents and accessories are left at your own risk. Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Council and its agents shall not be liable for any loss, theft or damage of any property whilst they remain in the Park nor for any injury, accident or mishap to any person in the Park, unless the same be caused or contributed to by any negligence or default on the part of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Council or its employees. Customers must ensure that their property is secure and fully insured for any unseen eventuality.
Out of Hours  – Guests are encouraged to contact Tandragee Recreation Centre immediately in the event of any anti-social behaviour, accidents or incidents.  In addition to this, guests are encouraged to contact police during out of office hours 101
