Clare Glen Caravan Park – Rules and Regulations

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is proud to present a Caravan Park on the site of Clare Glen.  This purpose built site is suitable for caravans, campervans and tents.  Clare Glen Caravan Park is for short-term recreational/leisure/tourism stays only. 

We pride ourselves in the layout of the site and the standard of its amenities and we trust that our customers will treat this venue with the respect that it deserves.

  • Booking Period- From the 1st October to the 31st March you will only be allowed to book for up to 3 days.  During the period from the beginning of the 1st April to the 30th September it will be possible to book the Caravan Park for a maximum of 5 days.  As this is a facility for short term letting only, individuals will only be allowed to book back into the facility 7 days after their previous stay.

 

  • Booking Terms and Conditions- In order to stay at Clare Glen, patrons must pre-book.  The full balance must be paid at the time of booking.

    If for any reason you should need to cancel your booking we will accomodate you to the best of our ability with an alternative date.  We do not issue refunds for cancellations.

    In addition to the information given while booking, a photocopy of a customer’s driving licence, passport or other identification may be required.

    On receipt of payment, customers will be directed to contact Tandragee Recreation centre to receive a code to the entrance gates. Customers will also be directed to print their booking confirmation email which should be available for inspection at all all times during their stay at Clare Glen Caravan park. .  Refusal to show your Booking Confirmation may result in customers being asked to leave the site.

  • Respect –  other Caravaners – we ask that patrons keep noise levels to an absolute minimum after 11 pm. Music, musical instruments or singing is not permitted after this time. Your compliance with this request would be greatly appreciated. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to vacate the caravan site.
  • Laundry facilities – are available on site. The washing machine and tumble dryer are only suitable for light clothes.  It is NOT permitted to wash and dry rugs, blankets etc. as they are not commercial machines.
  • Behaviour – All customers are reminded that they have a duty of care with reference to their own and any other children under their control regarding their behaviour and safety.
  • Minors – Due to the gradient of the entrance / exit road, children using bikes/tricycles on the site must be supervised at all times.
  • Safety  – You are requested when connecting to services that all excess cables and piping are tucked under the caravan to prevent being run over by Council vehicles.
  • Bins – Please put all rubbish into the bins provided.  It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the area around the caravan is kept clean and hygienic at all times.
  • Recycling facilities are available at Tandragee Recreation Centre.
  • Dogs – We welcome dogs into the park; however they MUST be kept on a short lead at all times around the park.  Any fouling MUST be cleaned up by the dog owner.
  • BBQ –  Any persons using the communal barbecue area must ensure that all belongings are cleaned away after use.. Use of the communal areas is NOT PERMITTED after 10.00PM. Other barbecues being used MUST NOT be placed directly on the grass. Disposable barbecues are NOT to be placed on the picnic benches provided within the communal patio area.   Users must ensure that waste charcoal is extinguished before being disposed of in the bins.
  • Open fires  – are not permitted anywhere within the site.
  • Liability  – Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council will not be held responsible for personal accident or injury or for any loss or damage to property for the duration of the customer’s stay. Appropriate action will be taken against anyone causing malicious damage to any part of Clare Glen Caravan Park i.e. damage to toilet facilities, fire extinguishers, lights, electrical hook-up points etc. Whilst every effort is made to provide all facilities as advertised, we regret that we are unable to accept liability for the temporary lack of any facility due to a technical breakdown or any circumstances beyond our control.
  • Site Occupancy  -It is important to remember that Clare Glen Caravan Park is to be used for short term stays only,  so therefore it is not permitted to run a business from the site or to use the park as a base for or in connection with any form of work related issues.
  • The use of work vans and vans of any kind with blackened out windows is not permitted.
  • No caravan / tent may bear any form of advert, drawing, poster ,emblem or slogan other than the manufacturer’s name plates or transfers.
  • Smoking – Is not permitted anywhere within the pavilion.
  • Out of Hours  – Guests are encouraged to contact Tandragee Recreation Centre immediately in the event of any anti-social behaviour, accidents or incidents.  Is addition to this, guests are encouraged to contact police during out of office hours 101
