Clare Glen Caravan Park – Terms, Conditions and Information

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is proud to present a Caravan Park in Clare Glen on the banks of the river Cusher. This purpose built site is suitable for caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents. Clare Glen Caravan Park is a short-term recreational/leisure/tourism stays only. We trust that our customers will treat this venue with the respect that it deserves.

Rules and Regulations – We want everyone to have an enjoyable and safe stay at Clare Glen Caravan Park and ask that all customers adhere to our Terms & Conditions. The person whose name appears on the booking form is responsible for ensuring compliance with the conditions of booking by all members of his or her party, including any visitors and pets. Anyone failing to do so may be asked to leave the site and will not receive recompense or a refund.
Clare Glen Caravan Park is an unmanned park and reservations are handled by Tandragee Recreation Centre, located approximately 1 mile from the park. Booking confirmation must be available for inspection at all times during your stay at Clare Glen Caravan Park.

Admission – Due to this site being unmanned we cannot accept bookings for arrivals after 5.00pm on Saturdays and all day Sundays.

Public/Bank holidays must be booked in advance. This is due to the site being unmanned at these times and therefore we are unable to issue you the access code for the main entrance gate.
This site is designed with families in mind, admission to those under 18 years of age will be refused unless accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their stay. Commercial vehicles are not permitted on site as the park is for touring only and we cannot accommodate those wishing to use for residential or employment purposes. Trading is not permitted from the site. Under no circumstances should the number in your party exceed the number on the booking form.
Covid-19 – There might be restrictions in place in/around the facilities we ask that you will please follow all social distancing measures in place during your stay.

Access Gates – On receipt of payment, customers will be directed to contact Tandragee Recreation centre to receive a code to the entrance gates. Customers will also be directed to print their booking confirmation email which should be available for inspection at all times during their stay at Clare Glen Caravan Park.
Refusal to show your Booking Confirmation may result in customers being asked to leave the site. Only those with supplied codes should have access to the site. Please do not admit anyone to the site if they do not have a code. A breach of these rules may result in your booking being terminated.

Refund – We do not issue refunds for cancellations. A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required in advance of the arrival date to amend the booking or to change to other dates within the season. Any change to your booking within 7 days of your arrival will incur a £10.00 admin fee.

You can book the caravan park for a maximum of 5 days. As this is a facility for short term letting only, individuals will only be allowed to book back into the facility 7 clear days after their previous stay.

In addition to the information given while booking, a photocopy of a customer’s driving licence, passport or other identification may be required.

Onsite Rules

– Please RESPECT other Caravaners – we ask that patrons keep noise levels to an absolute minimum after 11 pm. Music, musical instruments or singing is not permitted after this time. Your compliance with this request would be greatly appreciated. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to vacate the caravan site.

– Laundry facilities are available on site. The washing machine and tumble dryer are only suitable for light clothes. It is NOT permitted to wash and dry rugs, blankets etc. as they are not commercial machines.

– All customers are reminded that they have a duty of care with reference to their own and any other children under their control regarding their behaviour and safety.

– Due to the gradient of the entrance / exit road, children using bikes/tricycles on the site must be supervised at all times.

– You are requested when connecting to services that all excess cables and piping are tucked under the caravan to prevent being run over by Council vehicles.

– Please put all rubbish into the bins provided. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the area around the caravan is kept clean and hygienic at all times.

– Recycling facilities are available at Tandragee Recycling Centre.

– We welcome dogs into the park; however they MUST be kept on a short lead at all times around the park. Any fouling MUST be cleaned up by the dog owner.

– Any persons using the communal barbecue area must ensure that all belongings are cleaned away after use and their waste disposed of in an appropriate manner. Use of this area is to be shared evenly amongst fellow campers and we ask everyone to respect this and show discretion when making use of this facility.

– Use of the communal areas is NOT PERMITTED after 10.00PM.

– Disposable barbecues are NOT to be placed on the picnic benches provided within the communal patio area. Users must ensure that waste charcoal is extinguished before being disposed of in the bins.

– Open fires are not permitted anywhere within the site.

Whilst every effort is made to provide all facilities as advertised, we regret that we are unable to accept liability for the temporary lack of any facility due to a technical breakdown or any circumstances beyond our control.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council will not be held responsible for personal accident or injury or for any loss or damage to property for the duration of the customer’s stay

Appropriate action will be taken against anyone causing malicious damage to any part of Clare Glen Caravan Park i.e. damage to toilet facilities, fire extinguishers, lights, electrical hook-up points etc.

Out of Hours – Guests are encouraged to contact Tandragee Recreation Centre immediately in the event of any anti-social behaviour, accidents or incidents. In addition to this, guests are encouraged to contact police during out of office hours 101

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council staff retains the right to evict any person or persons from Clare Glen Caravan Park if there has been a breach of park rules. NO refund will be given for fees paid in advance.
